
When your account is set up, a name for the account is used for the directory where your files will be placed. For instance, if the account name is "acme", the directory name is also acme.
All accounts have a password required for any access, such as for FTP, telnet, or POP mail.
Your original password (when your account was set up for you) is also required for accessing some of the support pages online, such as the CGI support section.
